Sonneman Lighting Collections

Designing this new collection was particularly liberating in terms of the range of style that I was able to explore within the contemporary genre. Connecting Modernism with the ornamentalism of Art Deco brought fresh luxury to contemporary style. I referenced the Bauhaus functionalism and minimalist values to make lights of powerful simplicity. The sculptural expressionism of the 80's inspired excitement of geometric construction. The grit and strength of the American West influenced an interpretation of a warm contemporary style.
